Crushing on Camel

After a very lovely and relaxing Christmas break, it feels good to get back into a routine of school and work. While I was home in Newfoundland for the holidays, I got the chance to go out and shoot with a former colleague, Sam Russell. He is a photographer on the side, and takes incredible photos! Check out his online portfolio here. We managed to coordinate shooting during a day when the weather was decent (meaning we weren’t in the middle of a blizzard) and I was really happy with the final looks.

I purchased my camel wool coat years ago from the FCUK Outlet just outside of London (similar here). I remember seeing it and instantly thinking “I need that coat!”. Four years later and I’m equally obsessed with it as I was then. It’s a great shade of camel and has a somewhat subtle trim of faux cream fur. I especially love this coat paired with a pair of leather leggings. I had recently purchased mine from Aritzia (see here) and believe me when I say, they are amazing!

This outfit also happens to feature another one of my newer additions to my closet; my Kate Spade Sedgwick rain boots (see here). Once I made the move to Vancouver, I knew it was only a matter of time before I needed to invest in a good pair of rain boots and these are just perfect. I love the matte black, mixed with the leopard print on the sides and the gold trip around the foot.
